Default Firefox vs. Google chrome

Hope I am addressing the right situation. Are they both browsers of similar quality firstly? I am presently using Firefox 3.0.7 and am very happy with it. Is Google Chrome a better option or just another option available for browsing?

Hi,

My personal advice to you would be to download Chrome and use it along side Firefox. Compare and contrast the differences: Google Chrome VS Firefox web browser | Features: Faster, more secure, & customizable and then decide whether the features of Chrome, for instance, will be more beneficial to you during your time on-line.

I use Firefox 3.0.8 and prefer it as my main browser, but I have a play with Chrome. It seem to be missing something that I cannot quite put my finger on though...

Extensions! Not until Chrome sees support for add-ons will it stand any chance at competing with Firefox for a share in the browser market; this is the main thing holding a lot of people back from making the switch to Chrome from Firefox right now and with support for add-ons in Google’s sights it’ll be interesting to see just how much of an impact that has on Mozilla’s share in things.
