Hi
I need to find a way to install software on a pc that has been locked down by admin password now i have the domain admin password but someone before i started has put it on a workgroup and created there own password so im stuck now!, previous to me starting at this company there was a guy who worked here doing the network support he has locked pc's down and has not given me sufficient password access to certain pc's (becoming a real pain) is there a way i can use reg edit or somthing of this nature to by pass just to install software to get around this because i have never encountered this problem and i only need this machine to run a new piece of software that we have, any help would be easier than me having to flatten the pc?

Hi
If you simply cannot re-image the PC then why not use a Linux boot CD with a program such as Locksmith to change the local Admin password?

The problem is that the pc is at an external site and we do not use imaging or linux based products, this is a windows based server network, any other idea's?

It depends what rights you would have as domain Admin...any point in adding that PC back into the domain? In your set up, would that give you local admin rights according to AD/GPO?
