Default Error installing ikernel.exe: (0x10000)

Im trying to install a game on my computer but right when an installshield wizard flashes on the screen it gives error message: "Error installing ikernel.exe: (0x10000)" and that stops installing. The game has worked great before. Ive tried google and other help forums but no one has yet solved my problem. Ive tried removing installshields engine and reinstalling it, ive tried clearing the temp folder, rebooting and many other things but havent succeeded yet. Also everything in: http://consumerdocs.installshield.com/se...08450&sliceId=1 hasnt helped either. Im close to formatting my os. Any help from you guys?
-Dell latitude d600
-Windows xp pro sp2

ps. sry if my english is not so great

Welcome to PC Help Forum

If your game has worked previously and has only stopped working recently, have you tried a System Restore?

Did you try a registry cleaner yet, to get rid of all related elements of the software?

Never like to recommend re-installs but it looks like you're being backed into a corner here...

You could try a reapir install, less destructive
