Hi and welcome to the site,
i downloaded google chrome which installed correctly, but a window pops up when i turn laptop on saying 'google end user license agreement, this program cannot display the webpage', i cannot get rid of this pop up, right click does nothing.
This should stop the message from appearing:
1. Click on the Start

2. Click in the Start Search Dialog Box

3. Type regedit and press enter

4. Go to Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/
Currentversion/Run/

5. Find the RegKey that has GoogleEULALauncher.exe

6. Right Click and select delete.

7. Search your Hard drive for GoogleEULALauncher.exe

8. Delete it when found.

9. Reboot your PC and it should be gone.
As for the volume control "slider":
Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices; place a check-mark by the Place Volume in Task bar option.

Are you on Windows XP?
if so, click Start-Run-regedit-press Enter, do the rest of the steps.
If you're using Vista, it's the start search box.
