Angry Nero 7 avi file problem

My normal DVD player will play AVI files, so instead of converting to DVD format and burning I just want to burn the AVI file. However, When I try this using nero back-up it only plays in B&W. Any ideas?? Thanks, Marvin

Hello Marvin and welcome to the forums! I have not used Nero back-it-up so, I am going to mark this as Open so the rest of the tech team knows to reply.

Hi there and welcome to PC Help Forum marvin marvin

Have you tried simply using the XP CD burning software to burn the .avi's to a disc?

No probs

Just put a blank CD into your drive. Go to "My Computer" and double-click on the CD Rom drive icon - this will open your "burning" window.

Drag anything you want to be burnt into that window (this will create copies - your originals will stay on the hard drive). When you have all the files you need to burn in that window, go to File > "Write these files to CD"

That's it

OK I'll give that a go. I presume this works for DVD as well as CD?

Donation on the way if it works.

Cheers

No, sadly the DVD creation part of Windows was added with Vista...not XP...do you have XP or Vista?
