Does anybody know what I can do to fix this issue?

It loads as normal, but then it shuts off after about 8 seconds while it goes through the fonts, brushes etc.

I've Googled this and it has happened to other people where the advice given is to delete all my preferences, but I don't have a preferences folder.

First, suggest you uninstall the program.

Second, download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.

After installing, run the program.
Before the first use, select Options > Advanced and UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"
Click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.

On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

Third, download and reinstall the program.
