Default New System Trouble

Hello!

This is my first time posting here, so thanks to all in advance for helping me out!

I just recently build a small system for a friend of mine, but I ran into some trouble when I finish building them. The system I build is the following:

AMD A64 X2 5600 2.9GHz
Jetway JM26GT4 AM2 6100-430 RT Motherboard
2G RAM
160GB Harddrive
Lite-On DVD Burner
In-Win W-Z589T Case

I know I run into some trouble while plugging in the USB drive from the case to the motherboard, since the mobo has 2 rows of pins and the case only has 1 row of plug that kind of startled me, but everything else I am 80% sure that I installed correctly. If needed, I can take a picture of the insides of the tower.

The problem arise when I try to boot the computer. When I boot up the PC, everything runs, and then I couldn't get into BIOS when I try. I've put the CD provided by mobo into the DVD rom, but it says "Cannot find boot disc! Please insert boot disc!" after it shows the first screen of how much RAM I have and system info. When I try to toss in the Windows disc it shows the same way. I couldn't get into BIOS at all, even when I press DEL from the start. I've tried plugging the keyboard into the USB port on the mobo or the USB port on the front side of the case, and still I couldn't get it to work.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with what I did? And how can I resolve this? I really want to get this system to my friend ASAP or, if there is any parts broken, I need to return it to Newegg immediately for an exchange. Please help me out and thank you so much in advance!

Hi elpmek!

Thank you for answering! No, no lights on the keyboard, unfortunately.

Have you tried a different keyboard? Did you restart the computer with the Win cd inside?
On a fresh start it should try to boot from all devices, even if the HDD is set first it can't boot anything from it 'cause it's empty! It should try the second option, which is the cd-rom, but appears that it failed to do that also.
Are you putting the cd in after you power the pc or are you leaving it in the drive?

Well, I turn the PC on and toss in the CD right away, first with the CD that comes with the mobo and second with the Windows CD. I took it out when it wouldn't boot.

I haven't try another keyboard yet, but I will give it a go in a minute. But no lights come on the keyboard when I boot the computer.

Thank you MRDEMIN!

UPDATE:

I switched the keyboard and I was able to get into BIOS and updated it. However, when I try to boot from either the mobo CD or the Windows CD, I am still getting the "Cannot boot from disc! Please insert a boot disc and press ENTER" error message.

Please help me out~ Thank you!

Well the mobo CD won't boot anything, there's no OS on it, just drivers and maybe some extra software.
Is the Windows cd retail or did you d/l it?
