Normally when I open a music file, it opens in Real Player. However I noticed this morning that they were opening in Windows Media Player. How can I get it back to opening in Real Player? I tried "right click" and then changing the icon to Real Player but that didn't work. I am using version 11.0.7 a.
Any thought here.
Thank you

Hi garybrian!
You can either change it using the Realplayer preferences (look for file association), or right-click a file: click Open with..., click Select program, then click Realplayer and check the Always open with box. Hope this helps. Note that I'm using Dutch Windows so the terminology may differ. Blue |

Hey there GaryBrian!
Bluefish has the right idea, but change the preferences in Windows Media Player. You will need to get into the File Types section to do this. Here is a place to do this. Hope this helps ![]() Blue? No worries. You're Dutch to English is just fine ![]() Thanks for the input!! Edit => Gary? Changing the icon does nothing at all. Just an appearance thing there. File type needs changed.

thanks guys. I am a "beginner" when it comes to this type of thing, so was just trying different options--none of which I knew what I was doing. Thanks again for all the help.
