hello again, need some formatting help please.
you may or may not have read some of my threads from last night . . . .
here's the update - basically when i tried to format last night i struggled, been ages since i've had to do it, instead of the c drive formatting, what norton ghost seems to have done is partitioned it with some saved ghost files so that c's become c\:rhghost or something like that, i partitioned the HD into 3 and that's now become 4 . . . . . with the windows files now in G or something . . . . . ??
anyway, i can't format it, i want to wipe it clean and start afresh . . . . . would it just be simpler to hook this up to my machine, change it to a slave and format it with mine?
thank you

What version of Windows are you using?
Do you have the genuine Windows Installation disc?

How to partition and format a hard disk by using Windows XP Setup program
This should take you through it. Don't take any of the Quick steps. Take your time and do it right. If you get hung up, give us a yell. Softly, some of us are sleeping. ![]()

thanks gandalf . . . . . it was that pesky mouse all along lol,
went and picked it up, shot back to home on my work break, plugged it it and rebooted, windows disc in and hey presto straight into deleting the partitions, a format, and i've wiped it clean, reinstalled it and i'm just resizing the partitions now with partition magic . . . . . . think you can mark this as fixed for me lol
