Unhappy PIDGIN... question about an issue....

hi there...
Im using Pidgin on my pc/windows xp. Now, when I make a direct connection with someone... and when that person tries to send me an image within the IM, it never seems to show up. Always shows up blank. This is pretty frustrating. Any idea why this is?? It seems to work in AIM just fine & in pidgin, I seem to be able to send an image (even tho i can see the imagebeing sent)... but just cant seem to recieve images. Is their a plugin I need?

well, any help is appreciated!! thanks

I am not trying to be smart about this, but it a good thing that it is not working.

You will not get any malware sent you by people with it down...

well, I havnt gotten any malware from anyone in the past 15 years of using Instant Messaging. Anyway, I only direct connect with people I know. But anyway, Im a web designer and have been trying to recieve some image files from a client by direct message with pidgin and the images dont show up. Very frustrating and dont understand why this option is n ot working correctly.

Any idea???

It will be quicker for your "client" to email the pix to you, rather than use IM apps...

All I can suggest you do is to completely remove all traces of Pidjin from your computer, then re-install the latest version 2.5.2 from here...
