recently when i started to burn a cd,it came as :

dma manager is not enabled

it says to enable that option each and every time i start to burn a cd.before i have not seen that kind of application coming around.

what will happen if i enable dma manager for nero 6 ?

will it create any problem ?

what is the use if i enable it ?

Right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>click on + sign of IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers>right click Secondary IDE Channel> Properties>Advanced Settings










but for me in secondary ide channel under advanced settings in current transfer mode,it is not mentioned as PIO mode.

it is mentioned as ----not applicable.the remaining options are same as above seen except that current transfer mode.

so what i must do next ?

Change the 40 conductor ide cable you have to a 80 conductor cable, this will solve the problem with the pio mode.

I had this problem several years ago and doing this fixed it...
