what version on windows are you running? sounds to be like explorer.exe has crashed or is corrupt.
If you are running windows xp try this press CTRL+ALT+DELETE in the window that pops up click on the applications tab on the bottom of that window click "new task" Enter "explorer.exe" without the quotations That should load explorer back up, let me know how it goes Last edited by drdroopy; 12-03-2008 at 07:05 PM. |

For system restore go:
Start - Run - either cut and paste as below or type it in: %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe Thereafter restore your computer to an earlier time
