I currently own a DELL laptop with Windows Vista and have recently wanted to become creative with it.Recently I have wanted to record my own videos of first person shooters/live touraments for my own entertainment but unforntuntly I am unable to record any of the sound from the speakers.I know i need Stereo mix which is not availible on my laptop due to Vista but I have heard that Realtek sound drivers can be used as an alternative.Which sound card/drive should I specifically get and how do i set it up?Also is there any danger in damaging my computer in any way.Since I have only a small amount of experience with working with my laptop help would be much appreciated.

first, its always recommended to use the correct drivers, you should be able to download the most recent ones from dell's website. Also what program are you using to record these videos, In my experience i have always used fraps.
