Default WinHex

Hi, I was recommend a program called WinHex for data recovery. I downloaded the program and it looks good but it is beyond my expertise. It involves hex code and I do not know hex. If it's not too time consuming could someone here explain to me how to search for and retrieve a deleted file using WinHex? I would try to do it myself but I've heard you can REALLY mess up your hard drive if you press or enter the wrong thing.

Thanks,
Jupa

Thank you. I would have checked the help file that comes with the program but it does not work in Vista. I'll edit this post later and give the results.

Alright. For some reason though its telling me that I am not the administrator of the computer, and I am. I had gotten that same error from a program I ran a while back called Resotation. Could it be a compatibility issue (I have Vista)? Or is it something else?
