prettylol,

I know how this must be. I do a bit of web design myself. Backing things up is always a must because if I lose my source code I'm up a creek without a paddle!

Do you mind purchasing a paid license for software? I ask because the more powerful software usually comes with a pricetag.

I don't know of any software offhand but I will do some research and post back with some choices for you.

prettylol,

Here are a few links to some file recovery software to get you started. Both of those programs look to be solid choices for the filetypes you are attempting to recover.

PC Inspector File Recovery - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

File Scavenger Data Recovery - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

If you need any additional help please let me know.

What i do when i lose important files is if i have a restore point for earlier that day i use it get the file upload it to my web hosting server and undo the restore point then download my file

Might be a bit complicated way of doing it tho

LoneWolf agrees: Not that complicated really and the price is right. :) Provided System Restore is set to on of course.
