While trying to download your song ESET gave me an error...your file has a virus. This is common with .wma files moreso than .mp3

It could be that some but not all your .wma files have trojans hidden within them.

The Trojan was:

Win32/Getcodec.A - CA

This could be the source of your problems.

Note that the virus could be in all or most of your .wma files. That is one reason.

I would scan for viruses, and especially see about removing the codec virus.

Once that is done, try the songs again. And also try re-encoding them again as that may work.

Note that some songs may be dummy songs and may never play, some record companies do this on purpose. You should scan your PC thoroughly for viruses.

If you don't have an antivirus already installed, try AVG Free and make sure its up do date

All right... I scanned my computer with Trend Micro, AVG Free and Malware Bytes Anti Malware... and only ESET found it, it quarantined like 3500 songs or something like that... does this mean they cant be cleaned???Did i lost all my songs??? Need more info on how to fix this trojan horse... Tnxs

They were fake songs to begin with. Are the rest working now?

@Amtech,this clearly appears to be an infection of some kind.This needs our Security Team do clear this infection up safetly and properly.

This could lead to more infections from dodgey websites and downloading and running software when you do not know how to use it could cause iraversible damage to a computer and a reinstall and loose all data could be on the cards.

Not a good idea to direct to google or receive any help via google on security issues unless you are fully trained in using the software removal tools.

Please direct members were it appears to be a malware issue to do the prework as this is so much safer and our Security Staff are well trained in this type of issue.

The songs that have been lost may of been saved if only you had directed the member to run the "Prework".
