Exclamation HP Recovery G6030EM

Hi guys!

Well my problem is I bought a HP G6030EM laptop and upgraded it to vista ultimate and deleting the Vista Home Basic OEM that HP gave it to me with so I lost all my HP backup utilities but I still have my HP_RECOVERY patition and if I go into the folder "D:\preload\" there is a file in there called "BASE.WIM". This file is about 5.1GB in size so im guessing this is like maybe an ISO image of the laptops hard drive when it came out of the factory. If there was any way of returning it to its original state it would be great. I can also not recover by pressing the F11 key at boot I just get an error code when I try to restore to factory condition. Im guessing this is because the original OS Version is installed?

Can anyone with some HP Advice help me with this please I really want Vista Home Basic Back With the HP OEM Version And all the backup Utilities.

Please Help.

Daniel

If you didn't make a set of recovery discs before you installed Vista Ultimate then you will need to contact HP to get a set of recovery discs. They will charge you a small fee them.

For the phone call? Thats BS. But the cost for the recovery disk (if i remember my conversions correctly) sound right.... Why do you want vista basic back just out of curiosity.

No need for language and yes it did as I called from a mobile as my landline is down, and no you have obviously mistaken reading my topic first post. I want the backup utilities so I can also recover my PC with the recovery partition and make recovery backup disks.

Also I have been chasing HP about this issue for 2 weeks now so do the addition.

I have been using both phone calls and emails.

If F11 isn't working - you really have no choice but to buy the recovery discs.

What error message do you receive when you try F11.
