Hello Hope someone can help. I am trying to uninstall Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 and install Explorer 8 beta 1. I downloaded and uninstall utility from Microsoft called uninstall Explorer 7. I run the uninstaller and get to the end and get the following error message "Windows Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 cannot be unistalled from this user account. Please log on to the same user account from which it was installed and try again." I installed from this same user account. I do not have any other user account. I proceeded to install Internet Explorer 8 beta 1 and it installed and asked to reboot to finish the install which did but I do not know where it installed to to open it. I can see it in the uninstall software in the control panel but there is no alias from which to open. I did a search for it and nothing shows up. Thanks in advance. Xandr

Firstly you can check if it installed via add and remove under control panel.Check the box show updates.

The IE launch icon is showing when you click on start?The IE 6/7 icon is just replaced by IE8 icon you will not see a second icon created saying IE8.
