Please help if you can. I have a Dell 6310 desktop running XP. I recently ran a Dell PC Tuneup tool, and am now getting a popup constantly on my desktop where Windows Installer wants to run an installation for a Sonic Update Manager, and cannot find a source for this......
What is this and how do I fix it?

Welcome to PCHF.
If you do not want the service, then the easiest way is: Click Start > Run Type msconfig Press Enter Click Startup tab Remove the check mark for Sonic update manager Click Apply Reboot
