Well it all began when i got the stupid Ashan virus..which toyed with my registry..I ended up fixing it by going through my registry and removing all the files that were made but now i get an error message every time i click on the following start menu shortcuts:

Control panel, Network connections, Printers and Faxes, My Documents andMy Pictures.

I have looked all over the web for solutions and haven't come across any. Ive downloaded registry tweakers and fixers but they havnt done anything to help me.

Does anyone know how i can get my menus back without having to go through WINDOWS to access the EXE?

My error message says this:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel"

I did try that but no luck.

If anyone has the slightest clue HELP ME!

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

I suppose there are several things you could try?

A sytem restore to before you deleted reg keys.
Run a repair using OS CD/DVD.
Run a recovery using OS CD/DVD.
Boot into recovery console.

Even run the "Prework" the link in red below on my signiture.
