Well, they are both right. Some registry tools are completely useless, however, the registry is very delicate. Registry cleaners are not that intelligent and can sometimes perceive links to be broken when they are actually legitimate. For example, an application that saves a temporary file and then deletes it on exit. When it comes to Windows links and settings, deleting a registry key can cause some strange side effects or stop Windows from functioning at all.
