Default Please help, desperate

I cannot get the audio and video files that i am playing on my computer to sync up properly, regardless of which software i use to play said videos.

When i play the video it starts out fine then gradually the audio becomes more and more out of time with the video until it eventually gives me a maddeningly long time between me hearing the characters and then them moving their lip's on screen.

The problem persists regardless of format of video.

tried the following software all with no success : Vlc, MPC, Klite codec, flv player.

any help would be greatly accepted.

Hello Simnol, welcome to PCHF.

The problem that your describing, where the audio and video gradually loses syncronisation is the video file itself, not the software or codec's that are responsible for playing them, but the software used to create or convert the video files in the first place. It normally happens when a video file is converted, and a change has taken place, such as frame rate of the video, or sample rate of the audio. Most video conversion packages do handle these changes properly on large video files. And some packages do not even handle them properly on small video files. Check the source of these video files, make sure they are authentic, and check the software that is used to create them.

EDIT: Marked as Answered.
