Default java 6, grrr!!!!

i have to say ive had nothing but problems with the new java 6 update, i cant run yahoo games and other such java powered sites!
the error comes up with several running processes caused an error, or words to that effect - causing the site not to work because of it. i have been on the java website and done what they have told me to do to resolve it, but now i get -
the instruction at "0x02f30183" referenced memory at "0x8af64cc1". the memory could not be "read". click ok to terminate the program.

can anyone help me? i just want to be able to run java sites

many thanks guys

2 choices:
a) un/reinstall Java 6
b) uninstall 6-- and reinstall 5-point--whatever-it-was

Java is totally free-- is there some minor (very minor) security "risk" with a slightly outdated version ?
Yep... but if the old one ran-- and the new one does not-- you can just dump it-- until they fix it...
