General Software - [Resolved] No Desktop icons posted in the Software forums; I downloaded nero 8 trial and installed, when i restarted there were no dektop icons or taskbar. ran sybot and deleted spyware, also ran CA spyware and deleted spyware, restarted ...

I downloaded nero 8 trial and installed, when i restarted there were no dektop icons or taskbar.
ran sybot and deleted spyware, also ran CA spyware and deleted spyware, restarted and same thing happens.

here is hijack this report if it helps.

Do it in Safe Mode - F8 upon boot.

restored system to before i installed nero 8.
same thing no desktop icons or start menu

- in safe mode -
Go to Start > run > msconfig (enter) > startup tab > click on "disable all" and ok. Reboot into "normal XP"...any change?
