Retry now. " After which another prompt pops up to tell me that the information i am about to send is not encrypted. It is a bit of nuisance, thus would there be any remedies to this problem?

Hey Leb, no, this is a "known Google issue" with their latest mail solution for several months now. Their software engineers have yet to find a fix to this issue.

In the meantime, logging onto their secured mail site here could be a solution to keep you going in the meantime: https://mail.google.com/

Unfortunately, i have tried on Internet Explorer 7 and there didn't seem to be hiccups for gmail. I suspect partially it's because on the settings, but i can't lay my finger on it which of the settings would result in this kind of issues? Would be there any solutions to this issue?

Not yet as far as google is concerned. We can go through the difference in settings if you like, but there's a lot in which the way IE7 works that could also affect it. Have you thought about reverting back to IE6?
