Default Scheduled backups to external drive

Is it possible to schedule file backups to an external drive? I want to be able to do this on the fly or daily/weekly etc. My O.S is Windows XP, and I do not have this facility on my pc, nor do I have an instillation disk to install it from. Is there any other softeware available for this purpose?

Hello FreMar - Welcome to PCHF!

Deleted duplicate post. The link below is for free backup software - I don't know if its any good but they claim its free unless you want add-on's and it allows scheduling.
