Default [Resolved] application failed ?
hi posting this on behalf of a mate as he doesnt have a clue he is trying to sign into windows messenger live and all he keeps getting is this message :- APPLICATION FAILED TO INIALISE PROPERLY (0X0000034) CLICK OK TO TERMINATE

janey if he is running XP he proberly needs to download windows installer Download details: Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable

Then try a reinstall.Have they got the latest service pack installed?

Your welcome janey,however check they have service pack 2 installed if this is XP or service pack 1 if this is Vista.

hes managed to sort it it was time and date that were set all wrong apparently once he fixed that it worked thanks

Janey if time and date shows wrong every time he reboots then he needs a new BIOS battery.Make sure he writes down the codes on the battery as they come in diffrent thickness or to take battery to a pc shop or a good electric shop the batterys are around £2.

They should be replaced every 2-3 years.
