Default Gmaps & Vista Compatability Issue?

Hi.

I often use Gmaps pedometer to map routes. At work we use Windows 98, and it's fine, but on my home PC, which uses Vista, as soon as I run the cursor over the map to plot a route, the cursor dissapears completely, and it becomes useless.

Does anyone know what may cause this, or is it another Vista blip?

Cheers.

Two ideas come to mind.

1. How much memory does your computer have?

2. Suggest you use this link...DriverAgent.com Fix Your Driver Problems Instantly with DriverAgent and run a scan on your computer drivers.
Save the results page and attach it to your reply posting.

1. Plenty is a relative term. Do you have 512Meg or 2Gig?

2. From the scan results, you have five devices that either have outdated drivers or no drivers at all. Do you know how to research the device driver source to download the latest drivers or would like some help finding the URL?

1. Is this what you are trying to use? Gmaps Pedometer
If it is, you know the pointer changes to a crosshair when it enters the map area.

2. Will work on getting the URLs for the drivers.

3. Suggest you download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.
1. After installing...run the program...click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.
2. On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

This program will cleanup your temp files and cookies which could be affecting your computer.

Reboot after running CCleaner.
