Default .avi not playable on QuickTime
i can not play .avi movie using QT. normally i would use VLC which is just great but since i own IPOD video, need to convert movie to IPOD playable format. when open .avi movie in QT, can only see blank screen(no error message). how to address this problem.

Greetings ProudFather,

There are many avi to IPOD converters. Choose carefully because some require that you install additional codecs. Since I am no big fan of QuickTime, I can only assume your problem is because QT doesn't have the required codecs or it doesn't support the avi format.
