Smile [Resolved] PC freezing (hardlock) while gaming

ill start from the beginning, got a new system, well most of one, processor, video card, mobo, and ram, i play mmo's alot, wow to be exact, and after system was put together i get random hardlocks, freeze with soundloop, thought it was the game but i also get this on other games, dark age of camelot, guild wars, and a few others, here is everything i have tried, also getting lock ups with warhammer soulstorm, first i would like to say that all drivers were updated and windows as well. have tried a new sound card, and the onboard as well, new video card (went from Nvidia 8400 512mb, PCI-e to a Nvidia 8500gt 512mb),made sure to disable onboard items when wasnt useing them, tried swapping memory, useing one at a time and running memtest 86 for 12 hours, no problem. tried disableing on board lan and using USB wireless, system temp is CPU is 48 idle / 55-60 Under load, video card is about the same, i have tried 3 different operating systems, windows vista home 64-bit, and windows xp pro, and windows vista Ultimate (currently), have tried running system with bare minimum hardware, flashed bios, updated all drivers and windows updates, tried beta drivers for video card, allowed access through all firewalls, also tried zone alarm, forwarded all ports to games, tried with no AV or firewall at all, have checked windows event log and there is nothing in there that would raise any red flags that would releate to the lock up, thats about all i can think of at the moment, heres what im currently running

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ (2.8ghz)
Windows Vista Ultimate
2 gigs consiar DDR2 800MHZ (2x 1024)
250 Gig Western Digital SATA
Nvidia 8500GT 512 PCI-e
on-board sound and lan
ECS A770-A Mobo
Antec 550W power supply

P.S. there is one game i have gotten to work without lock-ups, crysis

Are all the other games updated? Do the other games have ability to support dual core? Have you tried windows Xp?

well still getting lock up's even with method discribed above, i am getting theres errors in event logg at time of freeze

IRQARB: ACPI BIOS does not contain an IRQ for the device in PCI slot 6, function 0. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

IRQARB: ACPI BIOS does not contain an IRQ for the device in PCI slot 2, function 0. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

dont know if they have anything to do with the lock up seeing as how the only thing i have is a video card in my PCI-E and nothing in the other PCI slots, i do have ACPI enabeled in my BIOS also.....

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

There could be several issues for this cause.

Please could you download updated drivers for your mainboard including chipset.Update drivers for PCI bridge etc.

Use device manager to manualy install them.

As downloading and running them does not mean they auto install.

Try removing the card to a diffrent PCI slot.

This error message may occur on a computer that uses a Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bridge that supports message-signaled interrupts but does not support line-based interrupts.

just wanted to give an update, put in a new (well older Nvidia 7600) video card and have not have have not had any problems in 2 days (usually lock up in 30 sec), im guessing its a compatability issue cause i swapped my card with my other computer and both PC's run the game flawlessly with no lock-ups
