Unhappy Explorer problem.

I'm using xp sp2. IE7

When I click on a link on a website and it opens in a new window 9/10 the window crashes half way through opening (see below) opening and I'm forced to close it leading to a error message (see below) When this happens I can't do anything untill all windows close (then I get the error message box) and then I can open the browser again

give imageshack time to show pics lol

crash:

error:

should look like:

Generally browsing is ok if you stick to the one browser window but ocassionally whilst browsing I randomly get the same error message after my browser just stops and closes down. Its starting to become a big problem and the only way I can have multiple browser windows open is if I open links in 'new tabs' but like I said when you click on a link that requires a new window (alot) it nearly always crashes.

Any help would be a appreciated, I'm not pc gifted and this is driving me mad! I've tried the usual stuff - restore etc and don't want to fully restore my pc to fix this I've I've too much stuff on it that I want to keep.

thanx
Daz

Default Re: Explorer problem.

If you are running IE 7 under XP-- you should be able uninstall/reinstall it (IE 7)
or even go back to IE 6-- if you wish.
How do I... Uninstall Microsoft Internet Explorer 7?

or there's always Firefox-- there is a learning curve-- it is not IE -- but many prefer it-- and it is very customizable.

Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable
