Default Video Editing

Come the summer and ive been out Wakeboarding, I'm hoping to of filmed quite abit of footage, but don't know a good piece of software for editing, ive tried the windows movie maker that comes on your pc, but in all fairness, its poor and really amateur.

I have no experience in making a short film, apart from windows movie maker, so I'm not looking for a rock solid pro set-up, just something that allows me to cut bits of footage and link them together with other bits etc.... make some nice best of's, tricks and crashes etc.

thanks

Alright, sorry bout that, fell asleep soon as I got home last night >.>

Anyways, if you can use a Mac with Final Cut on it, do so. It's the best video software out there. If you can't then try to go for Adobe Premiere, it's not *great* but it gets the job done though not to the same level that Final Cut does, and Final Cut is also much easier to use, though can be a bit annoying if you want heavily advanced options.
