Hey!
I was looking around for software that locks folders by password and I found the great Folder Lock. But, unfortunately, my trial period is soon to be over and I need to find an alternative FREE software that does the same thing.

I loved that trial and I hope it is freeware, but it is not.

Can anyone suggest a freeware utility that lets me lock folders? I'm running Windows Vista by the way!

Unfortunately, neither worked well for me
- TrueCrypt makes you create partitions (which you can protect) but I don't want to do this, I just want to protect an existing folder.
- Free Hide Folder is good, what I want in general. But, when the folder is hidden, you have to unhide and then access its original place to access it. With Folder Lock, when I enter the program, it immediately shows the hidden folders giving freedom to view, copy, move, delete them as I want, while they are still hidden...

Free and is great, I have tried breaking into a encyted folder and I cant..

Also I forgot about this one.. I used to use it...Also a great product just not as easy to use as the above.
