Default [Resolved] IE 7 issues

i'm having problems with IE 7, it doesnt seem to open at all. somehow it seems to have lost some files and will not let me re-install it. i also cannot remove it causing it to revert to IE6 because of the missing files.

it's really bugging me

Have you tried downloading an Internet Explorer 7 installer and installing it that way? Internet Explorer - Reviews and free Internet Explorer downloads at Download.com

Check out this link from the MS Knowledgebase to see if there is any help there - How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer in Windows XP

wadd, i would like to thank you very much

one of your solutions worked a treat, well 2 of them atcually, i had to do both to fix my problem, now it's back to working like it should instead of not working at all
