Unhappy Sister deleting folder T.T

My sister deleted a folder I had temporarily stored on her computer.
Form what I remember, it was quite big, about 10 GB or so. It was kept on the partition d, which isn't used as regularly (I hope).

Is it possible to restore the files in there?

Someone told me that it's still possible to restore files after they have been deleted past the bin. Given of course that no other files have been saved on that harddrive to cover it up, it hasn't been defragmented or formatted. Which it hasn't.

There is but you'll most likely need a data recovery program, if what was deleted is worth it, GetDataBack (Data Recovery Software - Hard Drive Recovery - RAID Data Recovery) costs $80 but I can personally vouge for it's quality, I've used it twice and each time it finds everything (have accidently unformatted my HD twice...oops)
You only need to pay for it once and you can use it for life, you can download the evaluation version to see if it finds your files and then pay for it if it does and you want them back. There are free programs but none worked for me

That's a bummer. I don't know if I want to spend $80 on it. It's not quite as much in €, but still...
I'll try the evaluation version first.

I think I would be happy with the file names already, then I could start hunting for them once again. Wouldn't be that terrible, I could go ask on forums and communities, they're probably uploaded somewhere still.
The problem is that I don't really remember what was in that folder. >.<

Here is a freeware recovery tool by Piriform ( they make CCleaner)

Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File Recovery - Home
