Default iTunes Sharing

So my roommates are attempting to access my iTunes Library to no avail. Each time they try to, it doesn't load, or I think they may have gotten a firewall message once or twice.(I can access both of their's) I don't have a firewall set up on my computer, and we don't have a router/firewall in our house.

what could be the problem? My sharing is set to on.

could it be that I have so many files? (5000+)

any ideas would be awesome.

thanks.

Hi boyinshirt,
Take a look at the link below, this might help you out, about a quarter of the way down the page there is a link in the article, "Apple technical document", that will take you to information about firewalls.

Beginner’s Guide to Sharing iTunes Music | iLounge

Hope this helps you out,if anyone else may know of your problem I am sure they will post and let you know.

Thank you

thank you so much for that link, but I'm afraid that I can not follow their help scheme. If I go into the advanced tab of my "Wireless Network Connection 2" it states:

"Windows Cannot display the properties of this connection. The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) might be corrupted. To correct this, use System Restore to restore Windows to an earlier time (called a restore point). System Restore is located in the System Tools in Accessories."

whew.
