I thought I'd asked this at some point in the past, but I can't find it in the archives. Sorry for the repeat if I have.
While I was away last week, my FireFox bookmarks got totally wiped out. This has happened before, as I say, but, hasn't occurred for a long long time till now. Why does this happen? I've gone to the forum there to ask this, and to find out how I can prevent it from happening, but, frankly, the answer didn't help me at all. Pretty much, I was told, oh well . . . save them and you'll have them.
Okay, I did save a file for them some time ago. Almost a year ago . . . so I've lost a good many valuable links, but at least I have a few left. I don't know where to reinstall them, though. Just now they're in my user file in Documents and Settings. How do I get them back in FireFox? I was hoping not to have to go back through and re-save again, but if that's how it has to be . . . I guess that's how it has to be.
That is one thing good about IE. Once you save your links, they don't seem to disappear just because you've upgraded or rebooted or whatever it is that causes this in FireFox.
Appreciate anyone's input!
