Default Software Download

I have a question about a program I downloaded, the name of the software is FilmLoop it's a program that you can do a lot of different things with pictures and graphics with. I downloaded it installed it but cant get it to run, it keeps telling me I have to be connected to the internet to register the program. I have DSL so I am always connected to the internet, I was told that I had something blocking it but I dont think thats it. When I installed my new HD I didn't have nothing on here but my windows. I saw something but I cant remember when or where but with this program it say's something about FTP ports, I dont know what that is or how you fix it. I really want this program to run BAD my sister has it and on hers and everybody elses it runs fine just not on mine. I am making a web page in honer of my son who passed away and this program is simple to use for dummies like me and my sister, can you figure out why it wont run on my system, Thank you.

Hi there,

I presume it's a software firewall that's stopping it. Are you using one and if so, what is the name of it (e.g. Zonealarm, Outpost etc...)?

What networking equipment do you use, such as routers, hubs, modems etc? Please give us make and model numbers.

Many of those DSL modems have a built-in hardware firewall
