Your ISP support site should have this info.
I would not suggest going online without some kind of firewall-- it is a necessity in the modern world.
So I do not suggest you buy your own.
Learn to use what you have. There has to be a way to confgure it to allow the programs you want to use... and block the nasty stuff all over the web.
I will see what I can find out.

Could you please tell me which company your DSL is with... ??

The FilmLoop site is totally different now instead of letting you use the software on there you can only post the loops you have created.

Seems they were overwhelmed by competition from things like
Slide / Rock You / Photobucket. Nearly out of business.

Ummm.... AT & T covers about half of the globe-- there are many minor variations in setup/equipment.
Where exactly are you located
USA-- what region-- where does your payment go to ??

For many years I've been a member of DSLReports.com

Here's a link to their Westell forum--
Westell forum - dslreports.com broadband community

Basically for any modem/router-- you type the numbers 192.168.0.1-- into the address bar at the top of your browser...

It will prompt you for username/password-- if you have never accessed it before the default is usually "admin" for username
and "password" for password.

If that does not go try admin/admin-- it is usually something very simple--otherwise they'd have to come out and unlock everyones modem for them.

I would go and read all you can on this particular model... there are apparently several versions of the same modem---you do NOT want to just open yourself wide with this-- these things are in there for a reason-- your protection !

I would also get yourself a better software firewall than Windows Firewall-- it is not worth much.
Zone Alarm Free is a good one-- but there are things to learn about it also.
