Default AVG removal?

I have been using AVG Internet Security v7.5 previously, but after a small hiccup plaqued my computer. i have decided to restore using a backup on my win xp sp2. For the AVG i did not know what the restore from backup would do to my computer, as i have created this back-up before installing any programs. But once i tried to reinstall avg, this erroe message hindered my installation of AVG. May i know how do i overcome it, as it might apply to all my other programs.

Hello.

Check the MD5 hash value for your downloaded install file [AVG Free Forum].

I do often get this message: "Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avg7rsw.sys: starting service....
The system cannot find the file specified. (2)
"
