Hi Norris,
This isn't really my area. But have you thought have trying this on another PC to see if you encounter the same problem? When you do this, you should discover immediately if it's a phone problem, or an operating system problem. If it works, then it's an OS issue. If it doesn't work, then it's the phone. |

Thanks mm,
My brother has pc and works fine with him,i also work for virgin mobile and one of the Tech team has it loaded on pc works fine with my mobile Thus ruling out any problems with handset or any problems with the software itself, Nokia sent me email saying no probs with software so gotta be something to do with my system? is it conflicting somehow ? the SS i posted shows a red cross next to it on add//remove, does this mean anything? Cheers Matt.

Na, the cross is fine, this is just an icon.
It's possible it could be driver related, but to rule out any software, first of all make sure no applications are open while using map loader. Also, disable any applications from starting up, and then enable them one by one until the problems returns. Then you will know which startup application is causing your problems. To do this, - Go to Start, Run and type in msconfig - In System Config, click on the Startup tab. - You will see a tick next to the applications that are set to start when the PC loads. - Untick all of them, restart your PC, and then test the map loader. If it works, follow the same process, and tick one at a time. After each, reboot and test until your problem returns. - |
