i have experienced the error message from Wmp V9.0 whenever i play file associations like mp3, avi and mpeg. Whenever i click on new files to be played, the error messages stating it does not recongise this file format and has to be restarted. But i do not experience this kind of drawbacks before even with codecs installed. May i know how do i address this issue?

Id suggest updating to wmp 11 and see if the problem still exists.
