Has anyone used Daemon Tools to set up a virtual drive? If so, is it safe?

I haven't used it in awhile, it worked fine. but now i use the microsoft virtual cd rom control panel. (only in xp) no vista

Daemon tools works fine for me though i only mount drives for a short period of time.
