Default [Answered] Morning all ...

I may have been dreaming but I seem to recall someone mentioning somewhere that there is an add on which allows me to check what is what on my system. To allow me to check what processes are running. Usually i have to switch between that and the process library entering in the info such as crass.exe etc and so on.

are you with me and do you have any idea what and where i can find a tool to make this process quicker and easier?

You mean an alternative to looking at processes via Task Manager?

not really but an alternative to having to cut and paste into processlibrary.com to check what processes are running .. say a kind of add on which allows me to easily identify what the process are and if i can delete them etc.

i had my system working so fine .. it was so clean but now aol has really slowed it all down ( i have no choice but to use the aol connection for the next month) what with it installing real player and all the other stuff. so i need to strip down aol to its basic min reducing drag on the cpu while still allowing me to use internet. I use a live remote connection when working in photoshop.

Chris .. the pc shop is open today for an hour or two. (bank holiday weekend here so many things closed) I have time to go to the pc shop.

I would like to know the easiest way to share the net over two pcs. i hvae this bt voyager router here 2100 .. im not a fan of wireless id like a wired option. my pc has an ethernet card but the main pc has not.

cheers fella

edit ...

and also .. do i really have to remove the previous modem from my mothers pc as i install the bt voyager router?

having spent four hours sorting out the modem on mine last night, succesfully, i would feel happier knowing if things go pear shaped then i dont have to go throught the same again re installing all the aol **** again for mother on her pc .. which isnt the most stable of installations in the first place.

If not i can suggest more.

RE: connecting the net. can you give me the make and model of the PC.

I think AOL tell you to do this. But it should be fine if you disable the modem software or connection.
