I know that you can use the "Lower" function to convert an all capital word to all lower. Is there a way to convert an entire column at once or do you have to go cell by cell and dod the conversion?

nope, it the same as LOWER, only you use UPPER. Be sure to copy/paste special the results afterwards, or you will be getting the formula results, not the text value.
