Hi,

I really need to free up some space on my hard drive and was looking in add/remove programs - I have numerous java updates (eg. J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2 etc) in there which take up quite a bit of space and was wondering can i delete the older ones to free up space? Maybe an awful idea but just wondering.

Not something I would do. Have you thought about adding an external drive and transfering some data to that to free up space,
