im trying to make an animation on flash mx 2004, i want to start with n then to nu then nut till i get nutty6, but i cant get it to transform from n to nutty6 whenever i change it it changes in all of the time frames so its the same at 1 sec and in 10 sec

each letter you have on a seperate layer? .. if you can post a screenshot of flash showing the timelines and your layers then I can see a bit more.

one option .. you may also try .. type the full word you want to appear eeventually and place a solid box over it the same colour as the background on another layer then have this box move from left to right, revealing the word .. you can loop this or have it move back left to right and then loop that.

ive managed to make it but the exported file does not show all the letters observe here

nutty ... can you attach the file that you are working on in flash .. then i can have a look at it and see what you are doing. I will then be able to set it up for you and show you which help files you need to need to be looking at.

looking at the wee diagram you posted there it also looks as if you may need to convert each of the letters to outlines. that way when they overlap you still should be able to see the tails of the letters .. but will wait for the fflash fla file from you.
