It is good for capturing any part of the screen in any program/web page. That's my main use for it

But still...that' sjust me and i generally don't like to use software that windows does well enough for me

I use MWSnap when im in a hurry and need a small portion - not just window, but otherwise prt-screen and alt-prt screen.
