Exclamation Help needed! Driver problems.. :(

Hi there.

I have had my PC for about a year now, and I have a problem where it randomly restarts.

I send the error report and it says its a driver problem, and the only hardware I've added since I noticed the problem is an ethernet router which doesn't use drivers anyway.

I don't know how to fix the problem, so I'd like ro format but I do not know which drivers I will need to get the sound working and everything like that!

If anyone could help me find the drivers I would be very gratefull! I can tell you system specs if you ask me?

Please help me out guys

Regards, Henry

Hi henry, welcome to the PCHF.

My first point of call would be to download the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.

Hey there

Thanks for the reply.. I would like to download all the drivers for sound and everything.. But I don't know which ones I need, and where to download them from. Knowing my luck I'll get some, then format then I'll end up with the wrong ones and wont be able to get on the internet because I don't get the right one for my network card. :/

If I told you what my specs are using Sisoftware's program Sandra Lite, could you possibly tell me where to get the drivers I need?

Thanks again,

Henry

To be honest Henry, we really only need the full make and model number of the PC - a serial (or "Tag" number would help also).

Hi there.

Thanks for the reply.

I bought my PC form eBay and it's not made by anyone like Dell or HP. It's just an unmarked case.. I know which components are inside though?

Sorry I don't have the information.

If you know the components then can you give us the motherboard full make and model number.
