Unhappy HP recovery.

I recovered my HP pc and I just thought it was doing a system recovery but it wasnt, it did a HP recovery which has basically kept all my files, but is denying me access to them. They are in a folder called USERDATA in the C Drive, and I can see the old "my documents" folders etc, but when I double click them, I get this error:

It say's the folders are empty, but I still have only 29 of the 140Gb left on my HDD which is what I had left before I recovered it. Please oh pretty darn please could someone help me out, I would be so grateful.

Thankyou VERY much.

Ok...

Goto My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View
Make sure Simple File Sharing is turned OFF (down the bottom)

Goto the C:\USERDATA directory and right click on My Documents and select Properties.

Click on the Security tab and select Advanced -> Owner
Select your username from this box and then check the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects...apply and close all windows...and try again.
